Job Description

Encompass has an exceptional career opportunity for a Represented/Litigation Casualty Adjuster in Wyomissing PA!

As a Represented/Litigation Casualty Adjuster, you are responsible for investigating complex claims when an attorney is representing the injured party which may include uninsured or underinsured motorist claims in single or multi car accidents, injury soft tissue and represented- moderate to major claims, personal property liability (CPL), extra-contractual liability claims, and specialized claims. You will take recorded statements, resolve loss of use claims, make payments to appropriate parties, and negotiate and settle or refer bodily injury issues that cannot be resolved. You will need to deliver compassionate service that is fast, fair, and easy, to ensure customer retention while verifying coverage, investigating and determining liability, reviewing and resolving damages, and negotiating and settling complex claims.

Key Responsibilities:
Investigate claims: take recorded statements, obtain photos and/or conduct on scene investigations, review medical reports, document claim files and prepare investigation summaries.
Determine liability, determine damages and negotiate a claim settlement in accordance with business unit best practices.
Claims involve litigation, arbitration or mediation requiring coordination with legal counsel.
Participate in depositions, hearings, trial or arbitration.
Deliver compassionate service that is fast, fair and easy.
Research and respond to customer communications.
You will provide guidance and direction to less experienced employees and provide mentoring and coaching to the team.

Job Qualifications

* 3 years of represented casualty/bodily injury and litigation experience desired

?Bachelor's degree preferred
?Adjuster license in required states
?Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
?Strong organization skills and the ability to work independently
?Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a real passion for helping others
?Persistence and the ability to work through and solve problems
?Ability to interact effectively, and coach other on interacting effectively, with internal or external customers and act with compassion
