Job Description. Vice President in ECM Origination will:. Partner with senior members to help deliver solutions and best execution that bring to bear the full breadth of Bank of America Merrill Lynch's capital markets capabilities. Generate the production of comprehensive and strategic analysis pertaining to clients, transactions and market events. Demonstrate and maintain appropriate detailed sector, regional and technical knowledge to ensure client materials reflect current backdrop. Determine and spearhead additional analyses that are supportive to the client or transaction effort. Partner with colleagues in investment banking industry groups to model and refine the solutions considered and presented to clients. Engaged in the preparation of pitchbook presentations with junior team for use in client discussions. Present sections of the presentation as needed during client meetings and conference calls. Think critically/strategically about an industry, including expected developments and implications for each client in the context of the equity market. Manage the junior team members assigned to him or her - ensure that the team executes efficiently/effectively and receives the coaching needed to develop their skills and understand all aspects of client deals/engagements/project. Work closely with deal constituents (e.g., lawyers, syndicate) and representatives from other investment banks in the context of deal execution. Develop, train and mentor junior team members. Qualifications. 7-10 years of relevant experience from a top-tier firm. Strong interest in global capital markets. A track record of superior performance in professional and extracurricular activities. Strong quantitative/analytical skills, attention to detail and client focus. Distinguished written and oral communications skills for basic client communication. Team-working, leadership and problem-solving skills, plus creativity are key qualities, as is the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task and interact with a variety of people all levels..
