Care.com is seeking a Financial Operations Specialist to directly support our fastest growing business unit, Care@Work, which provides family care benefits for employers. Our products enable employees to manage all their family care needs, so they can focus on doing awesome things at work. The Financial Operations Specialist will complete all necessary tasks for overseeing the parent billing process, caregiver payroll process, and partner invoicing process to ensure needs are handled in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Review, adjust, and reconcile completed child care bookings to accurate bill parents. Process additional charges or issue refunds, as needed.
Own all day to day aspects of the direct caregiver payroll process to finalize the weekly dataset for handoff to Finance which includes, but isn't limited to reconciling earnings, expenses, and bonuses against bookings, as well as referral bonuses.
Resolve parent billing and provider earnings problems to provide prompt and courteous responses to questions regarding charges (parent) and/or pay, deductions, and account access (caregivers).
Manage parent credit balances, expiring credits as needed, and renewing parent credit balances on a monthly balance where an employer benefit is in place.
Create and provide parent summary booking receipts for tax / FSA submissions.
Create partner utilization reports to process partner invoices for centers and agencies.
Proactively drive process improvements and optimizations.
Provide caregiver and bookings data and responses in support of City/State/Federal filings.
Serve as a cross-functional partner to Finance and HR teams.
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or equivalent experience
3+ years' relevant experience in payroll, accounting, and/or finance
Excellent process-oriented mindset and a high level of attention to detail
Excellent organization, written and verbal communication, and mathematical skills
Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge including pivots and formulas (lookups, arrays, etc.)
Experience working cross-functionally and building strong relationships across internal teams
Prior Workday or Paycom experience a plus
