The Cimpress Tax Team is a centralized function, responsible for optimizing, implementing and maintaining global tax strategies for the businesses within the Cimpress organization.The Tax Team consists of experienced tax professionals with deep functional knowledge in US GAAP and IFRS tax accounting, global tax compliance, international tax, transfer pricing, and mergers and acquisitions.The Tax Team works collaboratively with other centralized functions (i.e. Treasury, Technical Accounting, etc.) on cross-functional projects that provide significant value to the Cimpress organization, providing opportunities to expand your skill set and work in other functional areas.The Tax Team provides significant value to the Cimpress organization, a fact that is regularly recognized by senior leadership.

The Senior Tax Analyst position provides the opportunity for a challenging and rewarding career in a high growth company.We are experiencing an unprecedented amount of global tax reform, resulting in new challenges and opportunities for the Tax Team.You truly have the ability to make a difference here and contribute to the success of Cimpress.

Responsibilities:

Global Tax Accounting

  • Assist with quarterly global tax provision and SEC disclosures
  • Document and maintain Uncertain Tax Positions in accordance with ASC740
  • Research and interpret new law changes and their impact on our tax positions
  • Review non-US income tax provisions and tax returns
  • Assess and maintain SOX404 key controls and documentation

US Tax Compliance

  • Prepare federal, state, and local income tax compliance workpapers
  • Assist with R&D tax credit analysis for federal and state purposes, including coordination with outside advisors and internal software development teams
  • Research state nexus issues (sales, income and business activity tax) and document positions, as needed
  • Manage monthly sales tax process and coordinate with external sales tax return preparer

Projects and Planning

  • Assist Tax Director with special projects including federal, state, and international tax planning
  • Identify, research, and evaluate tax issues in federal, state, and international tax
  • Assist with tax audits as needed

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience with a public company and/or public accounting experience with a Big 4 or similar accounting firm
  • Experience with tax compliance and provision work for multi-national companies
  • Strong accounting skills - BS Accounting required, MST and CPA preferred
  • General tax knowledge of U.S. and state tax law (international experience a plus)
  • Prior experience with OneSource tax provision software preferred
  • Strong research, analytical and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Solid interpersonal skills - able to interact in a team environment within the Company and with outside advisors and auditors
