This individual will join Dells Product & Application Security Organization as a member of our Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL) team. The SDL is a strategic program for consistently building demonstrably resilient software across Dells diverse product and technology portfolio ranging from firmware to cloud-based solutions. As a Security Program Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security of our products and applications using offensive security best practices.

The Security Program Manager is responsible for defining requirements, driving security engagement management strategy, and delivering Secure Development Lifecycle services to development teams on a monthly and quarterly cadence. This position is responsible for identifying services roll-out requirements including infrastructure, internal operations and external operations, etc.; and executing against project plans, proactively mitigating risks, and managing secure development lifecycle from inception to release to post-release support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides Program Management oversight over the Security Engagements across Dell divisions.
  • Collaborates with the diverse and global product teams and with technical security advisors to raise the security posture of products.
  • Leads efforts to improve Security Engagements efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Prepares and presents to executive management the state of product security; utilizes deep understanding of executive management perspective and priorities, and tailors the presentation of information to match the audience.
  • Raises the awareness of Product security risks and adoption of security requirements to upper management.
  • Analyzes information from different sources and creates improvement plans based upon the data.
  • Evangelizes security across Dell divisions.
  • Leads continuous improvement projects.
  • Evaluates the current state of operations, defining a future state and initiatives to achieve it.
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Risk Management, Information Systems, or a related field, with 8+ years relevant experience; or equivalent professional experience
  • Knowledge and experience in SDL (Secure Development Lifecycle) is desirable; at a minimum, knowledge and familiarity with basic security concepts is required.
  • Strong Program Management skills and experience with Agile methodology.
  • Leadership; strong influencer of people and resources in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven knowledge of engineering operations and product lifecycle process, tools and metrics.
  • Proven track record of influence with a diverse set of functional disciplines (e.g. Engineering, QA, Services, Product Management).
  • Ability to prioritize projects and deliverables in a dynamic environment; drive simultaneous programs across Dells divisions.
  • Have a deep understanding of executive management perspective and priorities.
  • Strong business analytical skills; able to convert data into meaningful useful and actionable information.
  • Negotiation to win/win; proven ability to influence without authority.
