This role will drive Dells corporate Cybersecurity Architecture function, which is a global team of leaders and architects responsible for developing our enterprise security architecture. The Cybersecurity Architecture function develops the strategies, patterns, and roadmaps combined with the implementation of appropriate cybersecurity safeguards in alignment with Dells Security Policies, Standards, and Industry Best Practices. This teams security architecture patterns are operationalized through consulting services delivered to Dells IT organization and functional Business Units. In this role, you will work with individuals from a variety of technical and functional disciplines to provide guidance regarding architectural solutions that meet overall business needs while also integrating necessary security controls. The position requires technical knowledge of security architecture, frameworks, and design principles as they relate to all aspects of information technology (e.g. network, servers, cloud, identity, databases, mobile, workstations, et al). The team will develop, promote, and build consensus for an enterprise security architecture vision, future state roadmaps, and an innovation practice responsible for adoption of new and emerging technologies. Deep technical knowledge paired with high-degree of business acumen, change agility, political savvy, listening, and negotiation skills is an ideal fit for the position. Responsibilities Act as security design authority for projects within SRO-Cyber portfolio. Engage from the idealization through the system development lifecycle in all SRO project execution; Function as a principal technologist to perform technology evaluation, define use cases, architect POC environment, lead POC execution and conduct trade-off analysis; Drive security solution design for the security architecture framework (e.g., credential management, access provisioning, authentication and authorization, data security, network security, application security, infrastructure security, security monitoring and operations security); Deliver security architecture diagrams and security architecture specification per security architecture engagement; Review enterprise critical project security architecture and assist solution integration for enterprise projects as needed; Turns custom solutions into standardized services that can be delivered by operational teams; Develop / harvest security architecture patterns from architecture engagements and add to enterprise security architecture pattern repository; Partners with Dell strategically aligned-businesses to understand product capabilities and potential for usage within the enterprise; Summarizes security risks to both technical and non-technical audiences to ensure the appropriate solutions and recommendations are identified; Works cross-functionally with other leaders in Cybersecurity, IT and business functions to meet project milestones; Responds quickly to customer escalations and works to ensure the best possible outcomes are achieved; Must possess an inclusive work style and be able to establish and maintain good working relationship with customers and colleagues; Contributes subject matter expertise critical to the creation and modification of Dell policies and standards; Develops junior security architects capable of providing industry-leading reference architectures, security program maturity studies, annual and multi-year project roadmaps, and expert-level guidance to partners in Cybersecurity, IT, and other business units that is actionable, practical, and forward-looking. Requirements Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience 8+ years required experience in an information technology role with increasing responsibility in information security architecture, Experience in the following: network security infrastructure controls including next generation firewalls, proxies, software-defined networking, advanced malware controls, IDS / IPS, DLP, CASB, Cloud Proxy, MFA, cloud automation and management tools Experience with architecting enterprise security solutions, including cloud solutions using major IAAS, PAAS, CAAS, and SAAS providers Familiar with how cyberattacks are carried technically and can build architecture constructs to detect, prevent, and enable response. Expertise in IT delivery methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps) Proven capabilities across Cybersecurity domains and supporting technologies Advanced experience with leading laws, regulations, standards and best practices including, but not limited to, NIST, ISO, SOX, HIPAA, EU GDPR, PCI, CSA CCM Experience leveraging frameworks such as TOGAF and SABSA CISSP, CISM, CCSP or other advanced security certification strongly preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills Associated topics: cybersecurity, identity, identity access management, idm, information security, information technology security, malicious, security analyst, security engineer, vulnerability
