What would I be doing?
Provide financial guidance and assistance to every level of business function(s) assigned.
Ensure budgets and forecasts meet organizations financial targets.
Recommend and follow through on appropriate corrective action.
Manage multiple projects financial performance against plan, insuring accuracy, communication to leadership of performance and appropriate revisions to plan.
Provide resource management awareness to business functions assigned and ensure functional activities and financial commitments are aligned.
Provide timely explanations of department operating expense variances between actual results and forecasts/budget both verbally and in periodic reports.
Perform ad-hoc analysis and perform special projects for executive management.
Perform financial review of all CER and DAR requests.
Identify and modify internal financial infrastructure to align with organizational changes, as needed.
Assist in the preparation of and explanation of the P&L to management.
Prepare month-end journal entries and formulate required accruals in accordance with GAAP.
Maintain balance sheet accounts associated with business unit assigned (e.g., prepaid maintenance contracts) and complete balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with prescribed format and timelines.
Effectively navigate multiple software systems (e.g., Hyperion Enterprise, Cognos, HFM and Oracle responsibilities, for example) to address inquiries, generate reporting, investigate and identify issues as well as formulate corrective actions.
Serve as stand-in for Director when business scheduling conflicts arise.
