The Business System Analyst is a key, individual contributor position responsible for overseeing and contributing to assessment efforts company-wide and using a thorough understanding of business systems, technology, pharma /med device industry, and
system development lifecycle methodologies to provide the highest level of expertise to support projects throughout their lifecycle, with the emphasis on the analysis state. Specifically, in this role you will serve as the technology business partner to implement complex and innovative process improvements and technologies which promote overall organizational efficiency, effectiveness and cost optimization. Position with work with all levels of the business including business partners, technology and external vendors. Position will focus on business process documentation, business requirements and solutions to meet business needs.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Partners with IT and business colleagues providing overall strategic leadership in developing and maintaining disciplined
Technical SME for all systems and software upgrades, implementations, and integration projects.
Instruct, guide, and streamline the documentation of project requirements with clear, concise language, consistent with the
requirements methodology framework.
Review specifications with stakeholders to assure clarity and consensus on features.
Leads the analysis of current processes and recommends solution and improved processes; consults as subject matter expert
on impact of systems changes to business processes, and ways to maximize operational efficiencies, quality and compliance.
Identify and troubleshoot operational issues and system gaps for sales and marketing systems and process
Document and manage business and technical requirements including current and future state processes with recommendation for streamlining and automating.
Collaborate with technology team to maintain system performance, system security and compliance requirements.
Employs a broad array of communication tools to inform, persuade, influence, direct and facilitate requirements analysis and
communication within project teams and between Business and Technical teams.
Provide leadership for work process redesign and performance outcomes measures in targeted processes to reduce risk and
eliminate failures in an attempt to failsafe the process.
Contribute to best practices. Help evolve the team s tools & techniques in the areas of enterprise analysis, process streamlining/modeling, business requirements and system specifications
Provides direction for others; has credibility with peers and is able to build alliances across organizations.
Assumes leadership role and provides guidance; lead teams/projects
Anticipates client needs, investigates the underlying causes and identifies short- and long-term solutions

Expert interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
Bachelor s degree in computer science, technology, operations or related disciplines required
Minimum 5 years in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment required
Experience managing business process mapping efforts (business requirements and documentations)
Knowledge of enterprise analysis and business process modeling methods
Business analyst experience (International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) certification a plus)
Six Sigma Green Belt certification
Knowledge of requirements elicitation, analysis, modeling and documentation
Knowledge of requirements planning, estimation, scheduling and execution
