Position Summary

The Manager's essential role is the responsibility for theU.S.income and franchise tax function including; taxcompliance, accounting,forecasting,research and planning. The Manager demonstrates strong tax knowledge, communication and leadership skills, while managing the day-to-day operations of these tax functions to meet the Company's related accounting and compliance obligations and to minimize liabilities.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Review and assist withpreparationofU.S.federal, state and localincome/franchise tax returns

  • Supervise, review and assist with preparationofthe consolidatedincome tax provision andrelated financial statement disclosures

  • Perform research to support tax compliance, accountingand planningincluding, compensation andbenefitstaxand Form1099 reporting

  • Review and assist withpreparationof tax accruals, budgets and forecasts

  • Review analysis and reconciliations of general ledger accounts

  • Ensure appropriate documentation and internal controls are maintained, including SOX 404 testing

  • Coordinate andmanage taxing authority and internal/external financial audits

  • Recommend andimplementprocess improvements

  • Take a significant role in the development of crewmembers to support the engagement, growth, goal achievement

  • Other duties and special projects as assigned

MinimumExperience and Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in accounting, tax or finance

  • Five(5)yearsofcorporate income taxexperience, includingin-depthknowledge ofincome tax accounting (ASC 740 and FIN 48)and tax compliance and research systems

  • Strong leadership and management skills

  • Ability toprioritize,multi-task and meet deadlines

  • Proficientanalyticaland interpretiveskills

  • Detail oriented, withabilityto provide clear and concise summations

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Capable ofworkingindependently and in a team environment

  • Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test

  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • CPA orMastersdegree in accounting, tax or finance

  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite (including spreadsheet expertise), tax compliance and research systems

  • International tax experience

  • Public accounting experience

  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)

  • Regular attendance and punctuality

  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice

  • Well-groomedand able to maintain a professional appearance

  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

  • Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity,Passion andFun

  • Ensure adherence to all Safety and Security regulations

  • Must fulfill safety accountabilities as prescribed by JetBlues Safety Management System

  • Promote JetBlues #1valueof safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlues Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards

  • Identify safetyand/or securityconcerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlues confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety ActionReport(SAR))

  • Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls

  • Uphold JetBlues safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities
