Description: Our client, a large social services / mental health non-profit organization, seeks a full-time salaried Social Work Supervisor. The Social Work Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the provision of services, oversight of administrative processes and supervision of staff in the Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation department, including mental health consultants and music therapists.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise staff of multiple sites and programs.
  • Coordinate the implementation of reflective supervision.
  • Oversee and provide crisis intervention and clinical risk management for leadership and staff.
  • Train staff on the utilization of mental health screenings for shelter residents.
  • Facilitate psycho-education sessions to social service staff.
  • Provide clinical and administrative coverage as needed.
  • Promote seamless referral of shelter residents to services within the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Collect and track required data to measure program implementation and effectiveness.
  • Facilitate and participate in meetings and trainings.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with community stakeholders, as well as external service providers of mental health, substance abuse, and domestic violence services.

Requirements:

  • LCSW or PhD/Psy.D in Psychology
  • Clinical experience working with young children
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Individual, group, and family intervention skills required.
  • Solid understanding of mental health, trauma-informed care, early childhood development, motivational interviewing substance abuse, and domestic violence issues.
  • Bilingual (Spanish or Creole) a plus.
  • Team-building, communication, organizational and computer skills required.
  • Ability to work evenings as needed.
