The Wealth Management Investment Services (WMIS) Pricing Analyst position has a responsibility to optimize our pricing methods in a way that aligns with the value delivered and ensures competitive positioning for U.S. Bank. The incumbent will oversee the pricing process across WMIS products, resolve inconsistencies in pricing and deploy industry best practices. The position needs to possess strong analytical and quantitative skills as well as experience in optimizing pricing in service-based industries. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Partner with businesses and conduct market research to understand industry dynamics and drive insights into pricing improvement opportunities
Introduce pricing techniques and processes to ensure that value is reflected in pricing of products across the business
Establish proper governance protocol to determine pricing for client deals to ensure profitability and that value is reflected
Establish processes and gather data to identify, reduce and prevent revenue leakages through missed billings, unnecessary discounts or weaknesses in capturing service elements
Provide consultative support to business leaders that are re-assessing their fee schedules or complicated bids (e.g., large custody deals)
Participate in the development of quantitative decision-making models. Contribute to the advancement of the department s processes, efficiencies and best practices.
Ensures compliance with the U.S. Bank Code of Ethics and all Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, information security and suspicious activity reporting requirements, policies and procedures. Actively participates in any required corporate and business line training in these areas.
Qualifications Requires excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with ability to derive insights from large sets of data. Knowledge in pricing techniques and mechanisms. Ability to work with multiple business partners to design solutions for pricing mechanism, including influence skills. Ability to simplify complex profitability and pricing problems into digestible presentations. Possess an MBA or Masters in a quantitative field and 3-5 years of experience in financial modeling or pricing analytics.
